ABOUT
An award winning photojournalist, Sergio has travelled far and wide, bearing witness not only to turmoil of society, but also to hope and the power of the human spirit.
Born in the USSR on the south of Russia twenty-something years before the start of this century, Sergio became a passionate photographer the moment he picked up his parents’ rangefinder camera and joined a photo club at his school.
Some 15 years later after engineering school and already with Ph.D. in his CV, Sergio emigrated to American continent, with hopes of one day rebooting his never abandoned passion for photography into a new career. Six more years later Sergio finally started the path he was dreaming about – creating images with light, camera and action. Some time ago his passion for photography and art brought him to the Apennines, where he’s now living in a small castello lost in the mountains and woods of central Italy.
